Leadership Troy Application 2011

What is Leadership Troy?

Under the direction of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce, the Leadership Troy program is designed to give each participant working knowledge of our local government, education system, growth in terms of industrial and economic development, quality of life and civic and leisure opportunities.

This program also works to provide networking opportunities for individuals seeking a leadership role in business, civic organizations or in the community. In its 11th year of existence, the Leadership Troy program has had over 150 graduates. Topic areas have been selected which highlight the community and its many facets. Attendance to each session is a requirement for graduation.

The Leadership Troy program addresses the changes taking place as a result of increased population and economic growth from an educational, civic, leisure, government and economic and industrial development standpoint.


Jefferson City Session Returns
We are pleased to announce the return of a session at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City in 2011! This session will introduce participants to those working for us on the state level as well as an in-depth look at the many issues facing our state.

Program Investment
Leadership Troy should be considered as an investment in your personal and professional development. Cost for the program is $150.00 per participant. This covers all of the sessions, program materials, transportation, orientation, and lunch at each session. The Jefferson City session IS included in this cost. Applications should be filled out and returned to the Chamber office no later than July 10, 2011.

Leadership Troy 2011 Schedule
The Leadership Troy program takes place on the first Thursday of each month over a five month period from August through December. Each session begins at 8:00 am and concludes about 1:00 pm.

2011 Schedule is as follows, Orientation:

  • Thursday, August 4
  • Thursday, September 1
  • Thursday, October 6
  • Thursday, November 3
  • Thursday, December 1

Graduation ceremonies are part of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce Awards & Installation Banquet scheduled for January 2012. More information will available on the date, location, etc. soon. As part of your participation you will receive one complimentary ticket to the event.
