Boone Center, Inc. (BCI) to Host Virtual Presentation on Guardianship
(St. Peters, Mo., February 6, 2024) Boone Center, Inc. (BCI)—a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of
people with disabilities—will host its next virtual Speaker Series presentation on Thursday, February 22 at 6:00
p.m. The free event, led by St. Peters attorney and disability advocate Lorna Frahm, will cover the topics of
guardianship and conservatorship.
Attendees will gain insights into the legal and practical aspects of guardianship including types (full, limited,
successor), filing, fees, summons, termination, conservatorship, and special needs trusts, with insights into court
requirements and legal standards.
“This presentation is an extension of the last speaker series we hosted in October,” said BCI Chief Program
Officer of Organizational Employment and Advocacy Katie Jones. “We hope by taking a closer look at these
topics, we will empower families to make informed decisions for their loved ones.”
