Members of the Troy Chapter NSDAR laid a Memorial Day wreath at the Lincoln County Revolutionary War Patriot Memorial at the Spring Lot in downtown Troy. This memorial was dedicated last Memorial Day to honor 18 Revolutionary War Patriots who spend their final years here in Lincoln County, Missouri. These men were John Barco, Joseph Brown, William Butler, James Cannon, John Chambers, Joseph Collard, Thomas Copenhaver, Joseph Cottle, James Galloway, Michael Glass, Thomas Hampton, Malcolm Henry, Robert McNair, James Rector, Bethuel Riggs, Joseph Sitton, John Thurmon, and Winslow Turner. The Chapter continues to do research into other possible Patriots who lived in Lincoln County and hopes to add more names to this memorial in the future.
