Free Book Fair

06/11/2022 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Books may well be the oldest technology still commonly used; their longevity is a testament to the power of influence books contain. The right single book presented to the right single individual can change a life, consequently affecting all the lives the changed individual interacts with. The Pathway Out of Poverty Initiative hopes to spread this life-changing power by hosting a free book fair this upcoming June 11.

The book fair is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be located at Fairgrounds Park, locally known as the duck pond park in Troy. Deborah Kimberly, a Lincoln County resident, has spearheaded this event in conjunction with St. Stephen’s UMC (United Methodist Church), which is located on 101 St. Stephen Lane in Troy (just west of town, north off of Hwy 47). The church has received books from throughout the community and welcomes further book donations to the aforementioned address.
