Boone Center, Inc. Names New Directors, Committee Members
(St. Louis, Mo., August 8, 2023) Boone Center, Inc. (BCI)—a nonprofit that facilitates
employment opportunities for adults with disabilities—recently named Michael Ahlheim, Jayuni
Buescher, and Doug Tracy to its board of directors. Board members are eligible to serve two
consecutive three-year terms.
Ahlheim is a Principal Strategy Development Analyst for Phantom Works and Specialty
Capabilities at The Boeing Company. Ahlheim began his involvement with BCI in 2021 as co-
founder and co-chair of the Skills Center’s Young Professionals group and later as a member of
the board’s Employment Services Committee.
Buescher is Business Manager for the St. Louis University Center for Advanced Dental
Education. For the past 25 years, Buescher has held diverse financial, strategy, and management
roles in health care as well as private industry. Buescher is an active member and volunteer at St.
Monica Catholic Church in Creve Coeur where she assists with the annual auction.
Tracy is President/CEO of Cuivre River Electric Cooperative and serves on the board of
directors for Touchstone Energy, the Central Electric Power Cooperative, and the Association of
Missouri Electric Cooperatives. An avid civic volunteer, Tracy also works to advance the
agencies that support his daughter’s disability including Delta Gamma Center, Light House for
the Blind, and the Society for the Blind.
These newly appointed directors fill the void left by outgoing board members Joe Armour,
Nancy Heet, and Cheryl Lauer who completed their terms effective June 30.
“We are excited to welcome these new members,” said BCI CEO Troy Compardo. “Our board is
made up of business and community leaders who truly invest themselves in our mission. As a
result, we are always driving forward. Every member brings keen insights from their personal
lives and professional careers, and their input allows us to continuously evolve.”
In addition to the three new directors, BCI appointed Hyspeco Marketing and New Business
Specialist Caroline Toye and Bank of America Associate Vice President and Business Banker
Marcianne Gagliardi to its board committees. The two are serving on the Development and
Marketing and Finance Committees, respectively.
